Giles smiled as he thought about what was going to happen tonight.
He was
going taking a very special woman to dinner, his girlfriend.  He
smiled as
he thought about her.  Buffy had said she'd understood when he told
her
about his plans for tonight.  She'd smiled quietly when he'd told her
she
could have the night off from training.  He'd thought he seen a
sadness in
her eyes.  Melancholy perhaps, at the passing from childhood into
adulthood.
An old relationship of one's youth changing to a more mature equal
one,
their friendship was
changing, he was no longer her security blanket.   They both had
their own
lives now. He shook his head to clear it.  He wouldn't think of his
slayer
tonight.  He would only think of his girl.  He smiled and started to
hum as
he went to get ready for his date.  It was their 2 week anniversary,
and her
birthday.

He knew exactly which shirt he was going to wear tonight.  She'd
complimented him in it on the day they'd first kissed.  She'd liked
the way
the green brought out the green in his eyes.  He pulled out his black
trousers, tight in all the right places.  That's what she'd told him
just
before she'd proceeded to make them even tighter.  He started to grin
as he
imagined what she would be wearing.  Whatever it was she would be
beautiful.
He looked at the clock as he splashed on some cologne, and put his
earring
in.  He picked up his car keys, her present and locked the door as he
left.

Ten minutes later he arrived in front of her house.  He walked up the
front
path and rang the door bell.
Joyce opened the door and smiled,
"Buffy's not ready yet Giles.. But are you surprised? Oh thankyou."
She said
as he handed her a bunch of flowers.
"No, not really.  I thought I might take a moment to talk you while I
was
waiting." Giles smiled at his lover's mother. "I realise you may have
qualms
about Buffy and I .. "
"It's okay Giles.  Yes, you are remarkably older than her, but she
loves
you.  You love her.  You would do anything for the other.  You know my
daughter better than I do.  You have my blessing, Giles.  I know
she's in
good hands." Joyce tried to hide her smile at the grin slowly
spreading over
his face.
"Joyce... I .. I.. I don't quite know what to say!  I must say I am
surprised.  I thought you would.."
"Come after you with a meat cleaver? Screaming about my baby's
virtue?"
Joyce supplied
"Well... quite frankly.. Yes." Giles looked surprised.
They both looked up as they heard noise from upstairs.

"DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAWN!!" Buffy yelled.
Joyce turned to look at Giles,
"Erm.. I better go up and check on them.  Sorry, but you know how
they are"
"Yes, Quite." replied Buffy's boyfriend.
Joyce and Giles smiled at each other, as she turned to go upstairs to
see
what had happened.

Two minutes later, Dawn came running down the stairs where she
skidded to a
halt when she saw Giles standing there.
"Wow." she gasped "Giles, you look good."
"Thank you Dawn, it's very nice of you to say so," Giles smiled at
Buffy's
little sister. "These are for you." he told her as he handed her a
bunch of
flowers.  Dawn's smile grew wide.

They looked up when they heard Buffy clear her throat from the top of
the
stairs.
Giles looked up at the vision before him and he heard his own sharp
intake
of breath.
"You look stunning, dearest." he complimented her.
Buffy smile lit up the room.  She was wearing a black dress that was
cut
perfectly for her, it was one of those dresses that simply took mens
breath
away.
"For that you get one of these." she informed him as she kissed him
gently
on the cheek.
"Shall we?" he asked holding out his arm.
"Let's." the young blonde replied.
"See you tomorrow Buffy." Dawn called after her big sister.
"DAAWN!" Both Buffy and her mother yelled.
"You take care, honey.  And I'll see you tomorrow.  Take good care of
her
Giles." Joyce laughed as she saw the blush creep over Giles' face.

Giles opened Buffy's car door and kissed her gently.
"I missed you."
"Missed you too Giles." she returned to the occupation at hand,
kissing
Giles senseless. "Oops too late." she murmured against his lips and
laughed
as she felt him frown.  Reluctantly she pulled back and got in the
car.
"So where are we going?"
"Home?" he asked hopefully.
"Uh-uh.. I didn't get dressed up like this just so you could take me
to your
place and fuck me sense.... Hmm how about we go back to after
dinner?  We
could even just get take away?" she said thinking of all the times
they had
spent at his house lately. She was starting to feel aroused already
after
his kisses.  Then again he always had this affect on her.  She looked
over
at her boyfriend, her lover and smiled as she whispered.
"Giles, I'm horny."
Giles gulped and turned to Buffy his eyes blazing.
"Umm Bad Buffy?" was the only thing she could think to say.
"Buffy, if you don't behave yourself we WILL be doing it right here
in the
car, in front of your mother's house.  If you behave we will be going
to a
beautiful little restaurant just out of town, having a beautiful
dinner and
then going home so I can worship your body all night long." and with
that
speech done he leaned over and kissed her hard and passionately. "and
by the
way Happy Birthday."
Buffy just sat there wanting more than anything to just take him right
there, it was only the fact she knew Dawn was watching them out the
lounge
room window.
"Okay Giles, you're the boss." she replied meekly.
Giles leaned over and she felt his warm breath on her as he whispered,
"If it wasn't for the fact that Dawn was still watching us I would
take you
right here right now." and with that he started the engine and drove
them
to the restaurant.
